Italy's borders are due to be open to international departures and arrivals from 3 June, with travellers from EU countries able to enter without going into quarantine

The country's aviation regulator announced today that the government has extended a ban on international passenger flights until at least the end of June. The previous order was set to run until 31 May.

Essential travellers entering South Australia are now required to keep records of close contacts for a 14 day period from the date of their arrival in the state.

The Australian state is set to introduce even stricter border controls from 10 April, requiring everyone including state residents to apply for a pass before they can enter. Anyone who has travelled through a COVID-19 hotspot will also be required to go into 14 days quarantine.

As of 11.59pm on Saturday, Queensland borders are closed to interstate FIFO workers. The two exemptions are critical roles, such as those responsible for worker health and safety, as well as FIFO or DIDO workers travelling from within Queensland.

The state has announced strict measures which come into force at its borders from 00:01 on 6 April. FIFO workers and their families will be allowed into WA but will need to undergo 14 days of self-isolation. There will be exemptions for health services, emergency workers, transport, freight, logistics, national and state security and judicial services. Residents will not be able to leave their local government area – Broome, Derby-West Kimberley, Halls Creek and Wyndham-East Kimberley – except for exempted reasons.
