Canada will ease entry for fully vaccinated international travelers starting on Feb. 28 as COVID-19 cases decline, allowing a rapid antigen test for travelers instead of a molecular one, officials said on Tuesday.

The federal government is reintroducing the requirement for a pre-arrival negative PCR COVID-19 test for all travellers leaving Canada regardless of trip duration.

Starting early November, US borders will be open for travelers from Mexico and Canada who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for non-essential purposes, including to visit friends and family or for tourism, via land and ferry border crossings.

Marriott International has announced that members on its Bonvoy loyalty program can now earn points via Uber, in an effort to diversify the hotel brand's loyalty offering amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the partnership, Bonvoy members can earn points toward free nights at Marriott properties, including home rentals, by ordering food delivery via Uber Eats or requesting select Uber rides. The perk is available in the United States, and those who sign up and have at least one qualifying transaction by May 31 will get 2,000 Bonvoy bonus points.

Hertz Global Holdings (the U.S. based entity) has voluntarily filed for reorganisation under Chapter 11 in the United States legal process. This includes subsidiaries Dollar, Thrifty, Firefly, Hertz Car Sales, and Donlen. Hertz’s principal international operating regions elsewhere are not included in the proceedings and will continue to operate as they did before. Day-to-day operations will continue unaffected at this time.
