Effective April 1, 2022 at 12:01 AM EDT, fully vaccinated travellers will no longer need to provide a pre-entry COVID-19 test result to enter Canada by air, land or water. Fully vaccinated travellers seeking to arrive in Canada before April 1, 2022, must still have a valid pre-entry test.

Canada will ease entry for fully vaccinated international travelers starting on Feb. 28 as COVID-19 cases decline, allowing a rapid antigen test for travelers instead of a molecular one, officials said on Tuesday.

Starting early November, US borders will be open for travelers from Mexico and Canada who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for non-essential purposes, including to visit friends and family or for tourism, via land and ferry border crossings.

No one currently in a declared hotspot will be permitted to enter QLD’s hotel quarantine for two weeks, except for those with exemptions such as compassionate reasons. New arrivals and QLD residents will have to reapply for a border pass.

Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to cross the Canadian border beginning on August 9.

As of July 19, U.S. visitors who have been vaccinated, have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of arrival or have recovered from COVID-19 in the last six months will be able to visit Ireland and they will not have to quarantine.

Marriott International has announced that members on its Bonvoy loyalty program can now earn points via Uber, in an effort to diversify the hotel brand's loyalty offering amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the partnership, Bonvoy members can earn points toward free nights at Marriott properties, including home rentals, by ordering food delivery via Uber Eats or requesting select Uber rides. The perk is available in the United States, and those who sign up and have at least one qualifying transaction by May 31 will get 2,000 Bonvoy bonus points.

The hotel brand has announced that from this month, event planner partners who book or have booked an event at any U.S. property will gain access to the 'EventReady Playbook' - a manual including a list of third party partners that can provide a variety of COVID-19 testing and health screening options; among other options this will include same day, on-site COVID-19 testing.

The brand has announced that from 26 January it will begin on-property COVID-19 antigen testing across the majority of its properties, with guests able to schedule an onsite departure test via their concierge. Tests will be administered by international private hospital network 'Hospiten', with results available the same day. The Hospiten testing program will be available across most AMResorts destinations, except for Costa Rica, Curacao, St. Martin and Acapulco, Ixtapa and Huatulco, Mexico. In a bid to boost confidence amongst business travellers and revive the brand’s events business, Marriott has announced that it will begin to roll-out pre-event COVID-19 testing from January, initially in U.S. properties in Florida, Tennessee, Texas and Colorado. It is hoped that the scheme, which will include options ranging from 15-minute rapid testing to PCR tests, will then be able to roll out in all Marriott brands and properties who wish to participate.

The international hotel and resort brand has announced a ‘Travel at Ease’ initiative, which is a complimentary program for customers at its resorts in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil. Spain-based boutique hotel brand Room Mate is introducing rapid COVID-19 antigen tests for all guests free of charge from the end of October. Guests will be able to take a test on arrival at reception, with results available in 15 minutes, and must re-take a test every 3-5 days if staying for a longer period. The brand operates around 25 properties across Europe and the U.S.
