          Frontier Airlines : launches 15 new low-cost routes

          Frontier Airlines has confirmed it will offer 15 new non-stop routes.The airline is expanding significantly in Miami with nine new routes, including its first-ever service to Aruba, along with flights to the Turks & Caicos. There are also new domestic routes to Portland, Rochester, St. Louis and Memphis. The low-cost carrier will also fly from Newark Liberty International Airport to the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and Jamaica, while from Philadelphia International Airport there is a new connection to the Bahamas.

          UAE : transit travellers set to go quarantine-free in Britain

          The UK is reportedly set to lift rules forcing visitors to quarantine if they have arrived through the UAE or any other red list country. But this represents a somewhat hollow victory for one of the world’s busiest air routes, aviation experts told Arabian Business. British MPs are set to agree on a plan to allow red list travellers be quarantine-free provided they remain airside on transit through the airports.

          UAE : finally off UK red list as the Emirates turn amber

          The UAE and Bahrain will be removed from the UK's travel red list, the British government announced on Wednesday night, providing a major boost to tourism and allowing families to be reunited. They will join other amber list countries, meaning that people entering England from these points of origin do not have to pay to quarantine in a government hotel for 10 days.

          Oman Air : to return to Jeddah next week

          Oman Air will resume flights to Jeddah on August 11th. The twice-weekly flights will operate on Wednesday and Saturday as WY 1675 from Muscat (MCT) and WY 1676 from Jeddah (JED). Flights from Muscat will depart at 15:25 and arrive in Jeddah at 17:40. Flights from Jeddah will depart at 19:40 and arrive in Muscat at 23:45.

          UAE : eases travel restrictions for residents from six countries including India and Pakistan

          Fully vaccinated residents and some unvaccinated individuals in certain categories, from prohibited countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda, will be allowed to return to the UAE under the latest travel update issued by authorities. The move was announced on Tuesday by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and will come into effect as of August 5.

          Manchester Airport : welcomes new airlines to T2 development

          Manchester Airport has confirmed a new tranche of airlines will be moving into the Terminal Two development. The facility opened to its first customers last week, with flights initially being operated by Jet2.com, TUI and then Singapore Airlines. After the success of these operations – and as travel restrictions ease – the airport has confirmed the next airlines to move will be Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and Brussels Airlines.

          Emirates : launches new flight to Miami, Florida

          Emirates is connecting global business and leisure travellers with its first-ever passenger service between Dubai and Miami. The airline celebrated the inaugural flight of its four times a week service when it touched down in Miami at 11:00 local time on Saturday. Emirates flight EK213 was welcomed by Miami International Airport with a water cannon salute, and drew in an audience of passengers, aviation fans and guests.

          EMIRATES AIRLINE: Flights to South Africa Remain suspended until 21 July

          Emirates’ flights from South Africa will remain suspended until 21 July 2021, in line with government directives that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South Africa into the UAE. Daily passenger flights to Johannesburg will operate as EK763; however, outbound passenger services on EK 764 remain suspended. Customers who have been to or connected through South Africa in the last 14 days will not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai. Affected flight bookings have been cancelled.

          Finland : to open to vaccinated travellers next week

          Travellers from EU and Schengen countries will be able to enter Finland without any additional health safety measures from July 12th. That is if they are fully vaccinated, have had a Covid-19 infection before, were born in 2006 or later or arrive from a country with low virus incidence. Those with one vaccination only are instructed to take a Covid-19 test earliest 72 hours after arrival to Finland, and those without any vaccinations are required in addition to have a negative test result before departure to Finland or a test on arrival.

          Finnair to offer long-haul routes from Sweden

          Finnair will offer non-stop flight on routes from Arlanda, Stockholm in Sweden to Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand and Miami in the United States this winter. All three routes will be operated with an Airbus A350 aircraft offering a smooth and modern travel experience.           Qatar Airways : doubles service to Lagos, Nigeria

          Qatar Airways has increased its service to Nigeria’s financial centre, Lagos, to two daily flights. Starting from July 1st, the service will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in business class and 232 seats in economy. With the addition of Côte d’Ivoire on June 16th as the fourth new African destination since the start of the pandemic, Qatar Airways currently operates over 100 weekly flights to 27 destinations in Africa.

          Qatar Airways : adds Côte d’Ivoire to network

          Qatar Airways has welcomed Abidjan to its global network as its debut flight to the largest city in Côte d’Ivoire lands at Felix Houphouet Boigny International Airport. With three weekly flights, the service between Doha and Abidjan via Accra will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in business class and 232 seats in economy, along with capacity of up to 15 tonnes of cargo.
