TURKEY: Face masks now compulsory outdoors in major cities

The country has today made it compulsory for people to wear face masks when outside in the country’s largest cities of Istanbul and Ankara, as well as the northwestern city of Bursa. Cases of COVID-19 reported each day have recently doubled in the cities, following a relaxing of measures which included the resumption of inter-city flights.

AUSTRIA: Updated restrictions for arriving passengers announced

The country's government has updated restrictions for international arrivals; anyone entering Austria from a country for which a travel warning is in place must now present a qualifying medical certificate that is less than four days old, with few exceptions. Arrivals from countries without a travel warning in place can enter without need for a certificate or quarantine. A list of countries can be found on the government's website, listed in German.

Accor has launched the ALLSAFE global cleanliness & prevention label, which has been developed with, and vetted by, Bureau Veritas - a world leader in testing, inspections and certification. DENMARK: Border restrictions to ease for some European countries from 27 June 2020

The country's government announced today that it will allow entry to citizens from most European nations with a low number of COVID-19 infections from 27 June - two months earlier than originally planned. This includes around two million people from some qualifying regions of nearby, hard-hit Sweden.

SLOVENIA: Arrival quarantine measures extended from 19 June 2020

The country's government announced today that from 19 June it will introduce an obligatory 14-day quarantine from Friday for most people coming from Serbia, Bosnia and Kosovo. This follows the previous introduction on 13 June of the same measures for 31 countries with high numbers of COVID-19 cases including Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Sweden.

SPAIN: United Kingdom included in list of countries permitted entry from 21 June 2020

The British embassy in Spain confirmed today that British citizens will be allowed to travel to the country when it opens its borders on 21 June. The Spanish government announced yesterday that the re-opening of its borders to most European visitors had been accelerated 10 days earlier than the previously planned date of 1 July.

EASYJET: Flights resume with restrictions in place from 15 June 2020

SPAIN: Further terminals set to open at major airports

Spanish airport operator Aena said today that it would re-open Terminal 1 of Madrid’s Barajas Airport on 1 July after three months of closure, while some terminals at Barcelona’s El Prat Airport will re-open through July and August. Barajas’s Terminal 4 was already open, while Barcelona had kept parts of its Terminal 1 open throughout Spain’s COVID-19 border closures.

ICELAND: Updated entry measures from 15 June 2020

From 15 June, all passengers arriving in Iceland can chose to be tested for COVID-19 (free of charge until 30 June, and ISK 15,000 per test thereafter) or self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival. A pre-registration form must also be completed before departure.

FRANCE: Border restrictions for EU travellers to be lifted from 15 June 2020

The country’s government announced today it will lift restrictions at its borders for EU travellers plus arrivals from Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, and Switzerland from 15 June.
