Cain International, the privately held real estate investment firm operating in Europe and the US, has signed an agreement with Oberoi, the award-winning hotel group, for the operation of 23 serviced residences at 17-22 South Audley Street, in London’s Mayfair. The Oberoi Group was established in 1934 and owns and operates 33 five-star hotels and luxury resorts across India, Indonesia, Morocco, Mauritius, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Surrounded by three different beaches, including one with a picture-postcard setting called 'The Wild Beach', the resort will reopen in November 2020 as a 4-star superior property.

The South African National Parks (SANParks) are preparing to resume operations in the week commencing 22 June, and have recalled their hospitality staff ready for a staggered opening of accommodation facilities. This follows an announcement on 17 June by the country's president in which he said that accommodation agencies and lodges can now open their doors again.

Accor has launched the ALLSAFE global cleanliness & prevention label, which has been developed with, and vetted by, Bureau Veritas - a world leader in testing, inspections and certification. All of the group's hotels must adhere to these standards, and will be subject to audits either by Accor operational experts or by third-party auditors such as Bureau Veritas to receive this label.

Hilton has announced updates to a global program developed to introduce a new standard of hotel cleanliness and disinfection to ensure that guests enjoy an even cleaner and safer stay: Hilton CleanStay with Lysol protection. The program has been developed with experts from RB, maker of Lysol and Dettol - brands trusted for safely disinfecting surfaces. In addition, experts from the Infection Prevention and Control team at Mayo Clinic will advise and assist in enhancing Hilton’s cleaning disinfection protocols.

South Africa's Capital Hotels & Apartments have launched increased safety measures to provide a safe and sanitised solution for essential meetings and events. They are also one of the first hotels nationally to launch such safety measures for guests and staff during COVID-19, and have proudly kept their doors open.

As the group opens up more properties in South Africa to travellers, it is keen to reassure guests that every precaution has been taken to ensure their safety.

The five-star resort in the Dominican Republic is set to re-open after being closed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During its closure, the resort’s management has been working closely with HSConsulting Group to review all enhanced health and safety protocols.
