AIR TAHITI NUI: Flights to resume from Los Angeles from 16 July 2020

Air Tahiti Nui is planning to resume flights from Tahiti's Fa'a'ā International Airport in French Polynesia to both Los Angeles and Paris from 16 July and 15 July respectively. VIETNAM: Plan announced to resume international flights from low-risk countries

The country plans to allow a resumption of flights to and from countries that have had no cases of COVID-19 for 30 days, the prime minister said today, with priority destinations including Japan, South Korea and Cambodia. Confirmation on expected dates has not yet been released and it is unclear whether arrivals from these countries will be subject to a quarantine programme that's been in place since mid-March.

CHINA: Shanghai is dropped as a first port of entry for Beijing-bound flights

China has today dropped Shanghai as one of the first ports of entry for international flights bound for the capital, Beijing. Incoming international flights to Beijing have to land at one of 16 designated airports, where passengers are screened. Passengers who test negative for the virus are then permitted to reboard the plane to Beijing.

SLOVENIA: Visitors now permitted from 14 countries without restrictions

From today, the country has opened its borders to citizens of 14 states, including Germany and Switzerland, who can now travel to and from Slovenia without restrictions. SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS: Deadline extended for publication of rescue plan

South African Airways' (SAA) creditors have approved a further extension to the deadline for publication of the airline's business rescue plan, allowing an additional seven days until 15 June. as requested by the business rescue practitioners. The deadline was extended from 08-Jun-2020 to 15-Jun-2020. The extension will allow time for additional discussions with unions and the country's government.

CEMAIR: Domestic flights resume in South Africa under lockdown level three
