The Biden administration is extending non-essential travel restrictions for the US northern and southern borders until August 21.

Tasmanian Premier Peter Gutwein has announced that from 4.00pm on Tuesday, 20 July 2021, all of SA will be declared as high-risk. Anyone intending to travel to Tasmania after 4.00pm on Tuesday, 20 July 2021 who has been in SA on or since 8 July 2021, will not be able to enter Tasmania unless approved as an essential traveller. Quarantine and other requirements are in place for essential travellers.

South Australia will go into lockdown for seven days, beginning at 6.00pm on Tuesday, 20 July 2021. There will be just five reasons to leave your home: Care and compassion reasons, such as caring for a loved one, essential work, purchase of essential goods, such as a food, medical reasons, including vaccination and testing and exercise, but it must be limited to people from the same household. SA schools will also close from Wednesday, 21 July 2021.

WA has closed its borders to anyone who has travelled through SA since Thursday, 08 July 2021, requiring anyone entering the state after that date to isolate for 14 days and take a COVID-19 test within 48 hours of arriving and again on day 12. Those unable to quarantine at home will be directed to hotel quarantine.

Premier Daniel Andrews has announced the current lockdown will be extended by seven days and will now end at midnight on Tuesday, 27 July 2021. Any travel to Victoria using red zone permits will also be temporarily paused.

Orange, Blayney, and the Cabonne Shire Council will go into lockdown from midnight on Tuesday, 210 July 2021 for seven days until 12:01am on Wednesday, 28 July 2021. The stage one restrictions mean people can only leave their home for essential things. However, construction will continue and shops will remain open.

South Australia has announced the state will enter Level 4 restrictions from midnight on Monday, 19 July 2021 and ending on Friday, 23 July 2021. Level 4 restrictions include: Face masks for all high-risk settings, non-essential retail closed, one person per four square metres, outdoor dining only, no communal consumption facilities, seated food and beverage consumption only, indoor fitness facilities closed and no team or contact club sport.

Pause on quarantine-free travel from Victoria extended; Quarantine free travel with Queensland and South Australia continues while officials closely monitor the situation.

The NT has declared a COVID hotspot for Mildura Rural City, effective from 4.00pm on Monday, 19 July 2021. The declaration by the Chief Health Officer means anyone arriving in the NT from the area must undertake supervised quarantine. Hotspots have previously been declared for Greater Melbourne, Greater Geelong, the Moorabool Shire and the Bass Coast Shire.

Premier Daniel Andrews has announced that lockdown in Victoria will be extended beyond the current scheduled end time of midnight on Tuesday, 20 July 2021. Updates will be updated by the Premier in due course.

Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to cross the Canadian border beginning on August 9.

SAA operated flights (domestic and regional) are suspended until 31 August 2021 and all SAA operated international flights are suspended until further notice.

SA has limited the movements of cross-border community members after the confirmation of a case of COVID-19 in Mildura, in north-west Victoria. From midnight on Monday, 19 July 2021, the Victorian cross-border bubble has been reduced from 70 kilometres to 40km, with residents only allowed into SA for work, study, care, essential shopping or getting a COVID-19 vaccine. They must get regularly tested for COVID-19 and wear face masks in public. Anyone in SA who has been in Mildura since July 11 has been ordered into 14 days' quarantine.

NSW will be declared a high-risk (Level 2) area from 12.01am on Sunday, 18 July 2021. Anyone intending to travel to Tasmania after 12:01am Sunday, 18 July 2021 who has been in NSW, will not be able to enter Tasmania unless approved as an essential traveller. Quarantine and other requirements are in place for essential travellers. Tasmanian residents, who have a suitable premises to undertake 14 days quarantine, can apply to enter Tasmania as an essential traveller. If you don’t have a suitable residence, you will be required to quarantine in Government-designated quarantine – fees may apply.

The NSW Government has announced that from 11.59pm on Saturday, 17 July 2021, people who live in the local government areas of Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool will not be allowed to leave those areas for work. There are several other major changes being made to the lockdowns affecting Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour. From 11.59pm on Saturday, 17 July 2021, many retail businesses will be forced to close - although, they will still be able to operate "click and collect", takeaway and delivery services. From 12.01am on Monday, July 19 2021, all construction will be paused and non-urgent maintenance, including cleaning services and repair work on residential premises will be paused.

The suspension of passenger flights from South Africa has been extended to 30Oct21 excluding the Friday operations during the month of October. The inventory is open from 31Oct21 but we cannot say with definite that it will resume between RSA and MRU as the border will be opened in a phased process for residents, nationals, work permits and long term stay as you have to do a 14 day quarantine period at your own cost . The 1st phase is only France and Reunion.

Western Australia has shut its border to Victoria as the state enters its first day of a five-day snap lockdown. From midnight on Friday, 16 July 2021, no one who has been in Victoria within the previous 14 days will be allowed to enter Western Australia without an exemption.

The Victorian Government has announced that all of Victoria will enter a five-day snap lockdown beginning at 11.59pm on Thursday, 15 July 2021 and ending at 11.59pm on Tuesday, 20 July 2021.

Anyone intending to travel to Tasmania after 12:01am on Friday, 16 July 2021, who has been in Victoria on or since Thursday, 8 July 2021, will not be able to enter Tasmania unless approved as an Essential Traveller. Quarantine and other requirements are in place for essential travellers.

QLD has declared all of Victoria as a hotspot, coming into affect on Saturday, 17 July 2021. Anyone who has been to a hotspot in the last 14 days or since their identified start date (whichever is shorter) will not be allowed to enter QLD, unless they are a QLD resident or have an exemption. Anyone allowed to enter will need to go into hotel quarantine.
